Some valuable recourses for those curious about birth and motherhood, or embarking on their own motherhood journey:
-
1. @australianbirthstories Sophie Walker allows women to open up about their pregnancy and birth experiences. Each story is incredibly honest and vulnerable. She covers a fantastic variety of situations, complications and positive stories.
Sophie Walker provides the most INCREDIBLE source of education for women’s reproductive and birth rights. Her podcast explores hundreds of birth stories from everyday women who openly share their experiences, positive or negative.
It has taught me such a huge amount around the topic, more than I could learn in school or anywhere else. I believe everyone should be open to listening to the stories, whichever age or identity, as we can all improve our understanding of the reproductive system, to support ourselves and others around us in the present and future.

2. @fertilityfriday Lisa discusses everything reproductive health, hormones, fertility awareness, periods and more. From a fairly scientific perspective. As a young woman, I learn a lot about hormonal/ non-hormonal birth control from Lisa.
-
3. @beyondthebump.podcast Sophie and Jayde discuss the social, emotional and mental sides of motherhood. Their podcast is hilarious and incredibly heartwarming. Also, Dr Timmy is the most wholesome! (If you know, you know).
-
4. @birth_ed Megan de-bunks many fears around birth, and equips women with skills and tools to use in the birthing process.
-
5. @no_holes_barred_podcast Victoria and Laura are hilarious. They discuss both the comedic sides of motherhood/ womanhood/ health and raising children, but also the emotional and tiring aspects. Either way, they manage to make any topic feel light hearted and funny.

6. @happymumhappybaby Giovanna interviews parents about their mother/fatherhood journeys, the ups and downs, and everything in between.
